Marcelo Bielsa...El Loco...the Madman. One of the most influential football managers of all time; passionate observer of the world; and occasional mystic.

I’ve been a Leeds United fan since 2020, and I immediately fell in love with Bielsa. He takes his work seriously; he does his homework; and best of all, when he talks about the game, it’s like he’s channeling something from another dimension that starts out about football, but ends up about existential-level truths. During his tenure at Leeds, he loved to sit on his iconic blue bucket - always watching closely, always analyzing, and always in love with the game. I’m no Bielsa, but if I can write with a tenth of his perspicacity, I’ll be a happy man.

Sometimes I’ll talk about Leeds; most of the time, I’ll talk about music, psychotherapy, culture, fountain pens, and whatever the hell else crosses my mind. Pull up a bucket, have a pint, and let’s chat!
